Alliance Medical Ministry provides primary health care for working, uninsured Wake County adults and serves as a medical home to nearly 5,000 patients. Alliance’s patients face financial and physical barriers to fresh foods, as the average patient supports a household of three on $19,900 a year, and many of our patients live in southeast Raleigh. With 78% of our patients suffering from one chronic disease, our physicians know we must do more than give advice and prescribe medication; we must journey with our patients. Our comprehensive care includes pastoral care & counseling, specialty care and a wellness program of health, nutrition and exercise classes (diabetes education, cooking classes, yoga, and a walking program). Our community garden is the focal point.
